Responsibility and organization are the answer
I have two sons, a husband and a dog. For a long time, it was my job to keep track of everyone’s stuff…and also the “family” items like sunscreen and Pepto which everyone seems to need and yet no one seems to pack. There had to be a better way. And then I remembered Papop’s rule when traveling. You are responsible for your own luggage. It’s that simple. The family rule: you pack it, carry it, keep it organized (or not), and load it in the car/plane/luggage carousel. This was the beginning of the solution, but responsibility begins with organization. We needed a personalized packing checklist for each of us.
